Student Laptop Cart Checkout

We now have a student laptop cart for checkout. Teachers will be able to check out 26 student laptops to be used in their classroom. Power cords will be provided so that teachers can set up the cart in their room.

Computer Lab

A schedule will be posted on the computer lab door. Teachers will have the opportunity to use the lab during my 7th day planning period. I would also be happy to collaborate with teachers and work with students on research and special projects during their technology time.

How to Log in and Change Your Password

Before logging in for the first time, make sure that you are connected to the internet through an ethernet cord. For your username, you will need to enter your Lotus ID for your username (EXAMPLE: BClark4). For the password, enter "welcome" (all lowercase). You will be prompted to change your password.

How to Use Wireless At Home 

 Staff, please be aware you must log into your laptop once before taking it home. The laptop will not work outside of wcpss network until these steps are performed.

Converting from Novell to Microsoft Server 2008

In order for our school to be converted from Novell to Server 2008, all machines have been reimaged. In the future, our school will need to place a call to the help desk to reimage any of the computers.


What is different?
-Software is now accessed through the start menu.
-Some of your older software titles may not work on Server 2008.
-Tech contacts will not have the ability to create or modify any accounts. A help desk ticket will need to be created and directory services will update the account. If you have an issue with your account, submit a tech help form to me so that I can fill out the help desk ticket.

As a reminder to all staff and office members, please remember that personal data such as photos, videos, and mp3's are not allowed on the server. Saving to the home directory is intended for work related data only.
